Peter91 says... Is it worth attempting to dig out and save/transplant? Or should I just pull it as it's going to disturb my white sapote's growth? Either way I doubt they can grow that close to each other, and I value the white sapote more. I must have discarded a seed there some time ago, but I definitely don't remember. | About the Author Peter91 NORTH PLYMPTON,5037,SA 9th May 2016 11:27pm #UserID: 11892 Posts: 111 View All Peter91's Edible Fruit Trees |

Julie says... Avocado seeds are quite easy to germinate if you want to go down that road. Personally, I have seen too many second-rate trees grown from seed - low fruit to seed ratio, small fruit etc. They are also slow to fruit, taking up to seven years, whereas a grafted variety can fruit in four. I wouldn't want to fertilise, mulch and water a tree that ended up being disappointing, but that's just my opinion. | About the Author Julie Roleystone WA 18th May 2016 9:09pm #UserID: 154 Posts: 1842 View All Julie's Edible Fruit Trees |
