I have a very tall Pecan tree. If I cut it down half way now would that be OK.
Thanks

Alfred, I can only comment on someone else' experience, an orchardist not far from me,

He pruned his pecans back severely, and within two years they were just as tall again!

My pecans are still bare, so if I was going to prune them it would be OK to do it now.

They are naturally big tall majestic trees.
My uncle had a pecan in Perth and it reached for the sky. Cut it back in half and grew right back in no time.
