stone fruit

    1 responses

Budhha starts with ...
home orchard first year in.
there are 15 mixed fruit trees all from daily's planted in August 2015.
All getting same water , fertilizer, sun and planted in the same soil mix. Everything just charged with the coming of spring including the stone fruit. Lots of leaf and new wood. All apples pears citrus cherry's everything still charging couldn't ask for more.. but stone fruit in the last 3 weeks has stopped growing and has been dying back from the new tips. Dropping leaves and even the new wood wilting and dying.
No scale on leaves or trunk/branches no borer holes no holes in leaves. No obvious signs of pest, no collar rot, no smell in soil, I am out of ideas ??
any one seen this before ??
cheers
Gary

echinopora says...
take one of the browned tips and use a razorblade to slice lengthwise down the shoot. You are probably going to see a little grub right in the growing tip.
