Tap attachment for end of hose

Hi,
I'm interested in making a potting bench type set-up out of an old kitchen sink and an old BBQ frame, and i was hoping to have a tap on it, that i could just plug the hose into to provide water to the sink. ie i would have my normal outside tap with a normal hose on it, which would then plug into the bottom of the tap on the potting bench thus providing water to it. I could then turn the tap on and off like a regular tap, rather than using a spray gun or nozzle. I haven't been able to find one anywhere, and it's the kind of thing that's hard to google for because it brings up too many other options, none of which i'm looking for. Have any of you seen something like that, or if not, any ideas on how to convert a regular tap from a plumbing supply to do the same job?
Thanks

normal 12mm garden house should slip over the copper pipe the tap fits onto to . a simple hose clamp to secure and a click-on fitting to connect water to hose. to easy . I used an old plumbing fitting as a watering wand at work for ages , it had a large 'Dramm' water breaker screwed to fitting .. and I used to just slip hose over copper pipe .. thats how I know this will work.
