Phil@Tyalgum says... Needs a fairly hot summer to fruit well by the sounds of it, mine is about 20 ft long already, no sign of flowers yet http://www.hort.purdue.edu/newcrop/morton/cassabanana.html | About the Author TyalgumPhil Murwillumbah 23rd February 2011 8:56pm #UserID: 960 Posts: 1377 View All TyalgumPhil's Edible Fruit Trees |

Phil@Tyalgum says... Mine grew well, flowered in its first year and looked like it was going to take over the garage roof.. alas we had a couple of frosts that winter (the first and only ones I've seen here) and I showed Jantina, who originally supplied the precious original three seeds, a mummified vine still clinging to the eastern wall when she visited me here. It had lots of both male and female flowers forming before its demise, and even though it is supposed to be a perennial, it never reshot. I have a white choko in its place now, but hopefully some kind soul will get hold of more seeds - it isn't on the AQIS approved list worse luck | About the Author TyalgumPhil Murwillumbah 21st October 2012 9:58pm #UserID: 960 Posts: 1377 View All TyalgumPhil's Edible Fruit Trees |
