Walnuts - heat tolerance

Hi - I am wanting to plant few walnut trees in Parkes in central west NSW - we can get several days over 40 degrees in summer and I have had difficulty establishing other trees in the past - any suggestions regarding the best variety of walnut to plant to suit very hot conditions??

Apparently pecans might be more tolerant of heat, but they do need lots of water.
