kert says... Monsanto is ,truly, an ugly customer. Having said that none of the posts seem to betray a deep (or even any) understanding of Yates Fruit Fly bait. If you understand the product you can work out its limitations . I won't push myself forward to explain the mode of action ;perhaps someone else can elevate the discussion. | About the Author sydney 21st February 2011 3:05pm #UserID: 0 Posts: View All 's Edible Fruit Trees |
Brad says... you can't blindly trust everything on the intenet snottie. including what I write. from the horses mouth (yates website) Orica obtained yates in 2003 http://www.yates.com.au/about/history/ Orica have nothing to do with Monsanto, they also own dulux, selley's and other household brands | About the Author Brad2 G Hill,Perth 21st February 2011 3:29pm #UserID: 2323 Posts: 762 View All Brad2's Edible Fruit Trees |
Charles cant spell says... At-most one could say Yates may still be affiliated (have cooperative agreements) with Seminis. And given Monasanto owns Seminis there is that link. I suspect but have no proof that Seminis initiative the relationship with Yates (that is took a 20% stock in Yates) to get a access to and a copy of all their selective breeding in Aus, once they have this genetic stock for their gene experimentation there is little reason to keep the relationship. Hence Yates eventually buys its 20% back and the relationship officially dissolves. and later Orica buys Yates off the Yates family. What unofficial ties are left after 10 years and all that is what is unknown. Basically do what you think is most ethical anyway, this generally wouldst include buying any large multinational businesses wares, Yates or not. Orica is hardly a saint. Apologies for the off topic, but lets not keep repeating what the Diggers founder said in some letter. I wasn't correct at the time and is even less accurate now. | About the Author Charlesstillcantspell1 Perth Innaloo 21st February 2011 3:46pm #UserID: 2742 Posts: 411 View All Charlesstillcantspell1's Edible Fruit Trees |
