Sunny Day starts with ... I bought Acerola plant a year ago. It was doing fine and had some flowers that dropped in strong wind. During winter it dropped all leaves and still no leaves. Sydney winter hasn't been too cold so I am not sure if the tree died or if there is a chance it will come back? I read it is evergreen.... Any thought on this? | About the Author Sunny Day HORNSBY,2077,NSW 11th September 2020 5:34pm #UserID: 24032 Posts: 1 View All Sunny Day's Edible Fruit Trees |
David01 says... Hi Sunny, Acerola may drop leaves in winter depends on where do you live. However, you can check by scratching the stems or trunks to see there is a green tissue under the bark which indicates it still alive. New shoots/leaves will grow back in Oct (in Melbourne) but I am not sure in Sydney.
