I am interested in growing amla on my property in nsw. Has anyone got experience and could share climate, soil, location to get a good yielding tree.

Herb says...
I saw an Amla in Central India. I live in Sth Gippsland. I got an Amla to try 3 years ago. Still in shade house, still alive and looses its leaves each winter - so appears to be frost sensitive but hardy. Seems to tolerate heavy acid soil. Sorry I can't tell you its outside, I intend to move it outside this early spring.
