Markmelb says... Chocolate fan - this forum isnt Daleys shop enquiry line - suggest you search the forums on this site to do with `Sapote` read alot - then set up a microclimate in your yard - Laverton can have undesirable north winds from my memories as a kid in Altona (dont plant in ground as thay grow ok in big pots)- I have two growing but have alot of brick walls around them and their fruiting - check recent white sapote discussion as have a photo there of Bernicker and have a Mossman doing very well after 5 years - get out there and study

Edward says... I have a plant grown from seed (from Daleys) which is 3 m high and has plenty of flowers, but they don't seem to set viable fruit - the small fruits drop off. I also planted a grafted "Superb" and even though only small, it produced a delicious fruit. So I can recommend that variety. However, I live in Sydney so I am not sure whether it will do well in Melbourne. | About the Author Edward3 Carlingford 30th May 2014 9:26pm #UserID: 1655 Posts: 172 View All Edward3's Edible Fruit Trees |
