I've seen adult mango trees with its roots bulging from the ground. Is this the likely scenario for adult mango trees? Should I be worries about the roots cracking the wall or the path in a few years?

Thanks

Hi chocolope

I would also be concerned about the amount of radiated heat from the bricks and path the tree would be exposed to. I had my Longan Tree too close to my brick wall and paved footpath and the leaves facing the wall got burnt and the radiated heat from the path caused the soil to dry out quicker.

The other problem with growing plants near brick walls is that lime from the mortar can leach into the soil and raise the Ph levels too much.
Fortunately this can be corrected by adding iron sulphates.
