Olympiad01 starts with ... May be a dumb question, Should I remove the tape wrapped around the stem of the cherry tree In regards to the persimmon tree when I removed it from the pot to plant yesterday the potting soil from the pot completely fell apart as there was no healthy roots holding it together, there was about a ball the size of a tennis ball left, I couldn’t see any healthy roots but planted it anyway as the foliage still looked healthy, today the leaves are looking a bit droopy, will this plant survive?

PlumRob says... For the cherry, the tape is grafting tape from when the tree was grafted. The graft has succeeded, so the tape should be gently removed. As for the persimmon, if it has gone well in the past 2 weeks, then it will be good. If it is not going well, then it should be put back in a pot and nurtured back into good health. Happy growing, and good luck! | About the Author PlumRob GLENORIE,2157,NSW 31st January 2024 8:54pm #UserID: 40821 Posts: 15 View All PlumRob's Edible Fruit Trees |
