Icecream bean tree insect problem

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help with a problem I have with my icecream bean tree. It is about 3 yeays old and it flowered this year however some of the branches have started to die back. when I looked closer the branches have rings around them like an insect or grub has been eating the bark. Would like to know how to treat this.
