About My Edible Backyard

Why Alan - Samford Love's Edible Plants

Hi there,

Because growing our own organic edible plants taste so much better, and are more healthy for you than commercially grown plants.  Plus home-grown edible plants are so fresh.

My wife and I currently grow bluberries, lady finger bananas, dragon fruit, pecan and macadamia nuts, figs (3 varieties),  raspberries, passion fruit (4 varieties) and olives.

We are also about to grow a lot more vegetables as we are currently building two (2) large raised garden beds for this purpose.  The north-facing raised garden bed will grow potatoes, carrots and various other root crops.  In the east-facing raised garden bed we will be growing various types of lettuce, spring onions, and a variety of herbs.

Regards,

Alan Westwood
