About My Edible Backyard
Why Bobmunro2 Love's Edible Plants
20 acres of hilltop located about 50 km from Merriwa NSW. It is mainly bush with 2 acres for my orchard. 700 metres above sea level. frequent strong winds and frosty winters down to minus 4 C.. I planted a few citrus in May 2013 to see how they would cope without additional watering. The roos and stray cattle ate them almost down to the graft! 18 months later they are still alive but struggling. Better fencing will remedy this hazard. Rainfall is about 600mm annually and will hopefully be sufficient to keep the trees watered without additional irrigation.
Comments: - I wanted native citrus to plant as a thorny edible hedge around an outdoor eating / bbq area. Currently still in pot (self watering type) to avoid drying out.
Height 50 Centimetres
Growing: In a Pot
Qty: 1
Pollination: Self Pollination
