About My Edible Backyard

Why Letsgoedibles1 Love's Edible Plants

I live in SE Qld, on 3/4 of an acre. There were lots of large trees on the property including several large gums and two 12m mango trees, when we bought the property. Our experience has been that nothing has done well being planted in the ground with the gums, mangoes and other large trees all taking the nutrients from the new planted fruit trees. So we transplanted fruit trees we had planted and new fruit trees are not being grown in very large containers. So far they are all doing well.

About to start building a good size raised bed veggie patch. Very excited about being able to grow my own ftuit and veggies.

Blueberry Burst

Letsgoedibles1's Edible Fruits
Update: 2391 days 9hrs

Comments: -

Love Blueberries, at present I buy them forzen. Looking forward to getting a good supply of my own growing. Have 7 different plants do far. Blueberries have proven to be difficult to grow here. I like the idea of the Blueberry Burst with the bigger size fruit. Are growing them in pots and have been planted in Azalea potting mx and pine chip bark as directed by the grower.

2017 update - These are growing well and gave me some fruit this year. Before then I had pulled off any flowers. The fruit is no where near the size the claim they were supposed to get.

How is it coping in container? Do you recommend it growing in a big pot??
letsgoedibles1 says... [2391 days 9hrs ago]
Hi it's going well. It's currently in an 85L pot. But all my fruit trees are about to be transplanted into larger pouches 245L ones. I do give them small amounts of fertilizer every month. This is still all new for me so it;s been a learning curve.
