4Poppies1's WISH LIST

Feijoa - Nazematze

Why 4Poppies1 wants it: - Really like the look of this variety.

Apple Cactus - Orange

Apple Cactus - Pink

Why 4Poppies1 wants it: - There is (possibly) an organ pipe cactus successfully growing near here, so worth a try for substitute to pitaya.

Ugni ( Tazziberry )

Feijoa - Unique cutting

Why 4Poppies1 wants it: - Self fertile, small size & cold tolerance.

Dwarf Avocado - Lamb Hass (A)

Why 4Poppies1 wants it: - Second choice A, dwarf variety if I need to cover the trees from a frost, bet hedging.

Avocado - Shepard (B)

Why 4Poppies1 wants it: - Cold tolerant second choice for B, though I've read somewhere the taste is better than the bacon, the bacon offers better cold tolerance.

Dwarf Avocado - Pinkerton (A)

Why 4Poppies1 wants it: - Cold tolerant A

Avocado - Bacon (B)

Why 4Poppies1 wants it: - I'm trying to start hass seedlings from store brought just for curiosity sake, cold tolerant back ups.

Ponytail Palm 5/10

Why 4Poppies1 wants it: - As a possible fruit bearing indoor/patio plant. I really like the shape of the trunk.

Fig - Blue Provence

Why 4Poppies1 wants it: - Would like a few varieties of fig, including the sandpaper.

Blue flax-lily

Blue Tongue

Mushroom Plant

Native Elderberry - Sambucus australasica

Nanking Cherry

Native Wampee - Gregs

Mountain Pepper- Female

North American Paw Paw

Citron - Buddhas Hand (Grafted)

Update: 2120 days 18hrs

Comments: - Love citrus and have always wanted one of these, it's a beautiful tree even without the added interest of the craziest looking fruit. Going to try and make something like salt preserved lemons & marmalade with it when it starts fruiting.

Growing: In a Pot

Sun/Shade: Medium Sun

Water Given in: Spring

Spring

Pollination: No

Pest Control: Sprayed with homemade garlic/oil/soap mix because it's with bush lemons with leaf curl.

Cut leaf mintbush (Cutting) 8/10

4Poppies1's Edible Fruits
Update: 2500 days 9hrs

Comments: - Love the smell of this, it's all Daleys said and more, unfortunately because of the time in transit & I think there might have been a little leak in the packaging it dried out badly and I had to cut it right back to bottom set of branches. Fairly hardy though and has come back with quick, strong growth.

Described as a smell between chilli/mint, I'd add there is a citrus element there too, almost like Thai/Asian curry pastes.

Pollination: No
