After a record Cairns winter with several nights down to 7c bud burst was slow, no sign of life till early October. Mid November, vine is growing vigorously and there are tiny flower clusters on 1/2 a dozen lateral shoots. Will it fruit in Cairns? watch this space!frankenmango1 says... [2198 days 13hrs ago] All the flowers have fallen off now. Was it the 42c heatwave in late Nov or just that the vine is still too small ? Cordons are growing vigorously but only a handful of lateral buds have sprouted. Maybe next year?* You need your own My Edibles Page to contribute Quick & Easy |
