14/04/10 Frost: About My Edible BackyardWhy JanW Love's Edible Plants We have just bought 1.2 acres of land out in Jimboomba and are expecting to move out there around mid-year next year. Since it will be winter, we are in the process of getting our fruit trees now so that hopefully they will grow big enough to not be affected by frost. I am from Thailand and although I am not a "fruit person", there are just some Thai fruits that you can't go past. We will also be growing lots of vegetables and will need to do some research on how to protect them from frost... that is one challenge. The second is drought but we might be alright if we have enough water tanks. The biggest rewards is eating fresh vegetables again. No pesticides is a bonus. Guava - Thai WhiteJanW's Edible FruitsUpdate: 5346 days 13hrs Comments: - I purchased the plant since Dec 2009. We have placed it into a big pot to get it growing before moving to Jimboomba mid-2010 which is when we will place it into the ground. It has doubled in size within 4 months. Planted: 2010 Growing: In a Pot Qty: 1 Sun/Shade: Full Sun Pollination: No Pest Control: No sprays used. Organic Status:Organic Question: Leaves seem to look a bit burn on the edge. Not sure what this is from as it says the plant likes full sun. Was this review helpful?
