26/04/10 Frost: About My Edible BackyardWhy Mankimbo Love's Edible Plants My total property size in about 500 square metres so it is a typical suburban house. My back yard leads down to an unuseable Sydney suburban creek so pervious owners have terraced it. I have tried to reclaim as much of te garden as possible but neighbours have blocked off a lot of sun with their house and trees. I have 3 main growing areas out the back. Herbs along the back fence which fight with the moss, a reclaimed laundry tub against a lattice fence and a recent addition of a 3m by 1.8m by 600mm raised garden bed. soon there will be some lattice and soil against the back fence for climbers. I work full time and have just had my first child (July 2010). Well my wife did that not me. I don't get much spare time so tend to just rip into in short blocks. Pretty hard to help out with my son if I am covered in chook poo. Comments* You need your own My Edibles Page to contribute Quick & Easy |
