Shallow roots, won't take drying out.  Compost well.  Very brittle branches- protect from wind.  Fruit seem to resist fruit fly.  Protect from possums.  They love the fruit.  Pruning extends life of plant.

Fruiting Months March and April

Planted: 2007

Height 3 metres

Growing: In the Ground

Fruit Harvest: 100 Fruit Per Year

First Fruited: 2 Years from purchase in pot

Water Given in: Spring

Pruned By: 30% in After Fruiting

Pest Control:

Repellents are ineffective against possums, and they really like the fruit.  Once they colour up, they get attacked.

I drape snake skins in my tree and possum does not come near it anymore. I got Skins from my local reptile/pet shop... worth a try!?
