Tamarillo - Red (Cutting) 8/10![]() Update: 5296 days 6hrs Comments: - Shallow roots, won't take drying out. Compost well. Very brittle branches- protect from wind. Fruit seem to resist fruit fly. Protect from possums. They love the fruit. Pruning extends life of plant. Fruiting Months March and April Planted: 2007 Height 3 metres Growing: In the Ground Fruit Harvest: 100 Fruit Per Year First Fruited: 2 Years from purchase in pot Water Given in: Spring Pruned By: 30% in After Fruiting Pest Control: Repellents are ineffective against possums, and they really like the fruit.
