I put it in for my 5 pet hens and the wild birds. It is amazing and has fruit here on the Sunshine Coast nearly all year and the hens get so excited when I pluck the fruit to feed to them. It has been in now for about 3 years and survived their digging onslaughts. I have some plastic trellis around it to help protect it but they still furiously dig! It is about 2 metres high and wide and I am pruning it to keep it bushy. It has not had any pests and I feed it with Bunnings Garden food a couple of times a year. It is also mulched 3 times a year with sugar cane mulch which the hens dig in and add their own fertilizer to. I live about 1.5 kms from the beach so my soil is sandy but with 3.5 years of sugar cane and hens I have a very good growing medium. My darlings are the best pets ever and phenominal cultivators!
