P Ligularis's Edible Backyard
Passionfruit - Sweet Granadilla (Seedling) P Ligularis's Edible FruitsUpdate: 5044 days 1hrs Comments: - A very attractive vine with large heart shaped leaf, flowers have a very strong perfume. Had trouble with pollination at the start of flowering but no trouble now that the bees have worked out how to get into the flower. The fruit is sweet compared to purple varieties. This plant is growing on the Atherton Tablelands at a altitude of over 3000ft and has survived light frosts and I'm sure it will grow at lower altitudes as I have evidence that it grows and fruits around Auckland NZ. Fruiting Months April, May, June, July, August Planted: 2010 Growing: In the Ground Qty: 3 Fruit Harvest: 150 Fruit Per Year First Fruited: 2 Years from Seed Sun/Shade: Full Sun Water Given in: Spring After FruitingPollination: Self Pollination When I Fertilise: When Fruiting Pest Control:
