About My Edible Backyard

Why 2006eabbott Love's Edible Plants

It is just so rewarding to be able to put food on the table for your family that you have grown yourself, never mind the cost saving! In addition I love going on an 'eating tour' of the garden with guests - they can sample the goodies on the way round - kids especially love it!

I like the jakfruit as it is different and 'outside the square' - usually visitors to my garden have never seen one and it prompts discussion about fruit trees and gardening in general. In addition it tastes heavenly and is easy to grow and fruits easily with very little care!
