Why Patricia Love's Edible Plants

I have an abundance of carambola fruit, however my abiu has not fruited to date, the tangello is also struggling as is the jabotica and tangello. The grapefruit are fruiting fine. Due to water restrictions I have planted my fruit trees with a metre of poly pipe based on an unglazed garden tile so that I can be water wise and also add fertilizer. The trees are thriving so I'm not sure why some of them are not fruiting. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
