I planted this in an area that was really way too sunny for it. But it has held on and come back even stronger as the area has become more covered. This was a favourite of mine as a child. I watered it only if it hadn't rained for a week or two or was really burning hot.

Comments: - Got as a small unhealthy rescue. Have had to slowly straighten up from almost horizontal and still it has produced fruit from year one! The apples have been small and too numerous for such a small tree but are still lovely and sweet. I do give it a water if we haven't had any rain for a couple of weeks... Last season we had 17 apples.
