Blueberry in flower

Hi all, I have a young sunshine blue blueberry that was planted recently and is beginning to flower with the turning of the season. Given it's youth, would it be better to remove blossoms to concentrate on plant growth rather than fruiting or just leave it to do its thing?
It is being grown espalier and currently is only about 40-50cm high.

We do recommend nipping off the flowers for young fruit trees to allow the root system the resources to develop. With your blueberries being shrubby, and prolific flowerers, I do think allowing a few flowers to fruit will not set it back too much. Enjoy!

Hi Pauline,
Thank you for the advice. I think I'll nip off the blossoms to allow it to continue to develop the root system. It's only been in a month or so, so it would benefit for having a deeper root system come next season.
