Hardy kiwi (the little grape-sized kiwi) can handle more cold than anywhere in Australia - so they are likely to thrive around Orange.
Any variety of grape should also cope with your climate - although your season length and soil is likely to be a bigger factor for them. If you want several grapes you can always ask your local vineyard for cuttings and then you'll know the epigenetics are optimised.
