Hungry for Holboellias…..

    3 responses

Linton starts with ...
The Holboellia latifolia plants have flowered profusely in the past but never set any fruit so Ive been wondering if its a pollination issue. Im also growing Holboellia coriacea, not yet flowered, so do you think that the 2 Holboellia species might assist with cross pollination and enable them to fruit more readily?

I’m very hungry to try the Holboellia fruits so please let me know if you have any experience with successful pollination of these or with related species like Akebias. Cheers and thanks for your kindness.

No fruits at all?
Perhaps it's different from the type from my hometown.

I dont really know sorry. Ive never heard of a variety of Holboellia that only produces flowers and no fruit, but I would expect that there is only one type. Just out of interest, whereabouts is your home town and what is the climate like there? Thank you and best regards.
