Anonymous says... Hay Jo, Im on the west coast of SA not far from you, and have similar conditions. The white is very easy to grow and flourish. The black i have as well, I would get it now, let it establish, then protect it from the winds and odd frosts you may get. ait to will produce fruit in four years. | About the Author 22nd April 2008 3:21pm #UserID: 0 Posts: View All 's Edible Fruit Trees |
John says... Dear Jo - I have White Sapotes fruiting in Albany. It took a long time. Young trees definately needs protection from the cold. You also need to get recognised grafted trees. My little Vernon is doing the best. I also have a lemon gold I just bought and its living in a tub in my garage under the skylight until November. Have 80+ seedlings in that I hope to graft onto. | About the Author John17 Albany Western Australia 8th June 2008 4:41pm #UserID: 885 Posts: 12 View All John17's Edible Fruit Trees |
