Fruit Tree Forum ContributionsSesame1 Forum ContributionsCarambola - It looks to be above the graft to me too. Geeze, the carambola really wants to get to the top of the to get some sunlight. Maybe it's time to tip the top off for it to branch out ?..2930 days 17hrs |
Star AppleSesame1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2930 days 18hrs Comments: - Three out of four of my little star apple seedlings lived through their first winter in the unheated greenhouse. One died though. One of the seedlings already grew a few new leaves. So far so good. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report * You need your own My Edibles Page to contribute Quick & Easy |
CanistelSesame1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2930 days 18hrs Comments: - Quite a good looking tree with big wavy leaves. However all of its leaves were dropped due to frost damages in early spring. I should have given it a bit more protection! Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report 2 of 6 people found this review useful* You need your own My Edibles Page to contribute Quick & Easy |
Carambola Starfruit - KarySesame1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2930 days 18hrs Comments: - Got it delivered in middle of winter, the starfruit tree was about 40cm high and lost all leaves after 2 weeks. It grew new leaves in November. Don't know how it'll survive the next winter. Planted: 2016 Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report 2 of 6 people found this review useful Commentsmcmelb1 says... Dwarf Mango - King ThaiSesame1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2931 days 2hrs Comments: - I have a few mango trees that grow in pots and ground. They did ok in Melbourne but grew very slowly and suffered some die back in winter. I had 2 mango trees planted in ground died. New growth emerged around late November and easily burnt by hot summer sun. So they need protection from frost and sun while they are young. Planted: 2016 Growing: In a Pot Was this review helpful? Dwarf Avocado - Wurtz (A) 10/10Sesame1's Edible FruitsUpdate: 2931 days 7hrs Comments: - Two wurtz are planted together. They are quite droopy, only 1 meter high. Tried to stake the branches so that they'd grow vertically. Apart from that, I did not have any problems with them. Planted: 2014 Was this review helpful?
