About My Edible Backyard

Why Araich Love's Edible Plants

A large suburban block that backs onto the Federation Bike Trail (where we're also planting natives). Silty clay base - notorious clay area where houses buckle and the surface cracks open but yet supports healthy trees.Moved in Feb 2009. Garden nothing but old stumps, dead grass, horrible stone edging and ornamentals

Hi Araich, does your currants grow to be woody and ratty over the years? I am looking at planting one or two at the front of my garden with objective of harvesting berries as well as beautifying the front garden. In winter, do all their leaves fall off to reveal only bare branches?
