Citron (Grafted) 8/10

Msjekyll's Edible Fruits
Update: 27 days 6hrs

Comments: -

Growing well,

Harvested first fruit (only 2 have set) weighed in just shy of 1 kg!

Regular fruiter gets some damage to the skin from unknown pest which is a shame because I want to make lemon preserved skins from it, have tried covering the fruit with bags - will see if it works.

Best performer of all the citrus in the garden

Blueberry - Misty 3/10

Msjekyll's Edible Fruits
Update: 27 days 7hrs

Have moved them to a new location with less root competition will see if things improve.

Well the move hasn't worked I have been told they like morning sun so will have to move them again (when things cool down a bit)

Moved back into pots and placed them in a sheltered spot with morning sun - got a few fruits this year.

Hi Msjekyll, Your garden looks lovely and lush. My jaboticaba the same age and size looks the same sort of colour in full sun, but it is putting on growth. They like a lot of water. There is some good discussion of the pros and cons of full sun and the cause of yellowing in this thread . Diana.
