About My Edible Backyard

Why Kalindi Love's Edible Plants

I have a medium size backyard in which I have guava, pomegranate, plumcot, apricot, peachcot, peach, mandarine and two big almond trees. Except for almond and mandarine trees all other fruit trees are three year old. I am not an expert gardener so would like to learn about good gardening. I would like to do organic gardening as far as possible. I have two compost bins which I use for composting leaves and kitchen scraps. For my backyard I use water from rain water tanks. I have a small vegie patch also. I have a curry leaves plant. Whenever I finish a yogurt can I wash it and give that water to the curry leaves plant. Once or twice a year, I fertilise it with cow manure. The plant was 4-5 inches tall when I got it from my friend. It is now two feet tall and healthy. I am not fully satisfied with the yield of my fruit and vegie plants. This year my chilli plants had flowers but no chillies. I would like to get some advice on this.

Thank you very much.
