I am considering buying a black sapote suitable for Sydney. Can anyone suggest a good cultivar for Sydney and any growing tips?

Id say most of the black sapote cultivars will grow and fruit well in Sydney. Like most tropical fruit trees the black sapote likes a fertile, well draining soil sheltered from the wind. In general though they are pretty hardy and easy to grow. Even seedling trees will start to bear fruit within a few years.

Hope this helps!
