Grapes

Can anybody give me a clue as to why my grape which I believe is a muscadeine variety, it is about 3 years old and grown from a cutting and is in a pot, had heaps of fruit last year (for a young plant) and this year it grew enormous leaves and no fruit. Leaf size about 310 long x 260 wide. Last year all the eyes grew 'normal' leaves and bore fruit, this year only a couple of eyes took off and produced these giant leaves???????????

It could be a few things,
Incorrect pruning- no flowers formed, growth at the wrong buds for fruiting.
Seasonal variation- fruit set varies year to year, we have few stonefruit set here atm and grapes a bit thin.
Fertilizer- too much N caused excessive leaf growth.

My thoughts are that your vine has been poorly pruned.take a look at some of the descriptions of cane and spur pruning on YouTube. It depends on where your variety grows fruiting wood on the previous season's wood and there are some very good descriptions on each system. If you gave your a haircut then this may be your problem as grapes need severe pruning in the dormant months.
