Lychee - Kwai May Pink (B3) (Grafted) 10/10![]() Update: 721 days 12hrs Comments: - This lychee is doing awesome in the ground. Turns out they like slightly acidic soil, so it's been planted next to our blueberry hedge to take advantage of the work already done to acidify that area. It suffered shock and stress when we first planted it, lost all its leaves and appeared dormant over Christmas, however it's green, leafy, happy and thriving now. Still too little t produce, but it attempted to fruit last year (kept our local bees happy!) but dropped all its fruit. Maybe this year or next year we will get a harvest but, even if not, patience is key. Nectarine - White Satin (Grafted) 10/10![]() Update: 721 days 12hrs Comments: - This has been grafted to a tree as a "double graft" with an Angel peach. Both species do not require a cross-pollinating partner, so this was simply a space-saving way to cram more food types into the yard. I am so happy with it! It flowered and "fruited" already technically, but dropped all its fruit as it really is far too young and small to be bearing fruit. However it did everything perfectly, so maybe this year or next year we will start to see the pay off and its "practice run" kept the local bees happy. Still in a large grow pot while we work out where to install it! Lime - Red Centered (Grafted) 10/10![]() Update: 721 days 12hrs Comments: - Such a cute little fruit, this one was bought late last year, planted in a grow bag while we decide where to install it (as with most of our spontanious purchases haha) and it has already fruited for us. Egg-shaped little red limes. Great for seafood and sald and drinks! Low maintenance, looks like a finger lime in terms of the greenery, and appears to be just as slow growing and hardy. Dwarf Lime - Tahitian (Grafted) 10/10![]() Update: 721 days 13hrs Comments: - Going great, has lowanna strawberries growing around the base with some french marigolds and a french lavender as well. Doesn't seem to mind, in fact they may be acting like mulch perhaps. Al lthe fruit dropped this time, but that's to be expected with a brand new young lime tree. It was also suffering black aphids for a day or two before I noticed, but some white oil sorted them out very swiftly and then ladybirds came and helped as well. Very healthy, happy young tree. Avocado - Linda (B) (Grafted) 10/10![]() Update: 721 days 13hrs Comments: - Great hardy plant! Our dog chewed this one down to a stick when we first brought it home and we were beside ourselves, thinking it would die off. Instead, around 3-4 months later, it sprouted leaves and then fruited! Of all the miracles! We are stoked. Highly recommend. We have kept it in a pot for now until we figure out exactly where we want it in the ground, but it's doing great.
