It could be a seedling peach if the fruit is small. Just saw one like it in a friend's garden - it was a volunteer.

jakfruit etiquette says...
The fruit are quite unripe, will ripen later. Could be a peach rootstock? (peach X almond) If the peach graft dies, and rootstock grows,they look like an odd peach/almond tree.
