MaryT says... John I read that they do best if you have two planted close together plus they need 12 hours of sun? I don't know if that's true but that would explain why my white choko is not doing well. Nothing gets so much sun here not even me and I have legs. Also they say chokos need a lot of water? | About the Author MaryT Sydney 26th April 2014 3:38am #UserID: 5412 Posts: 2066 View All MaryT's Edible Fruit Trees |

JohnMc1 says... Oh, thanks Mary. I have shade problems here as well, the block is smothered in mature spotted gums. I think I'll keep them and plant them out when it warms up after winter. Would they keep better in the crisper? or on the bench in the shed? I'm not after a huge harvest, so if you can use one of them, it's yours. | About the Author JohnMc1 Warnervale NSW 26th April 2014 8:38am #UserID: 2743 Posts: 2043 View All JohnMc1's Edible Fruit Trees |

Jantina says... Hi John, if you decide you really don't want two I would like to give it a home. I find mine sprout well in the cupboard under the stairs, then plant them in a pot and keep them in a frostfree place until spring then plant out. They are very nice sauteed with some garlic and butter when small. Denise, what was it about these that made you import them ? (as opposed to the ordinary green variety). | About the Author Jantina Mt Gambier 26th April 2014 10:53am #UserID: 1351 Posts: 1272 View All Jantina's Edible Fruit Trees |
