Merry Christmas to you Mike. I am glad to hear that your yanang has flowers. Well done. Thank you very much for all the goodies I received from you. I can't wait to go back home and check them out. A little bird told me that the sweet potato plants are doing very well, the same as tumeric and taro (too many to list) thanks to your generosity. I brought some big leaf kangkong back to Melbourne and it starts to produce runners now which is good.
Take care.

Lucy.

John Mc says...
All the best to all the usual suspects that hang around here for keeping me informed and amused. A special thanks goes to Daley's for letting this all happen, and looking after me with heaps of beautiful specimens, nice service. I don't know where to start so pick a name:
Peter from SA for his Pitaya, a special thank you to Lucy, her generosity knows no bounds, really, what Lucy has done for me over the last year would fill a novel.
Mike for sending copius amounts of unusual plant and seed material, some I can't pronounce, I can't thank you enough, thank's Mike.
Speedy and fruitist for their generousity, I mean, by sacraficing stuff out of their own gardens, and only having small amounts themselves, just so they could share some of it with me. That's amazing dedication, thanks a million.
Lastly, but definately not leastly, my new best friend Jantina, who has me all excited for the new year ahead.
Merry Christmas all

Linton says...
Just wanna say Happy Christmas 2017 and may all your trees produce plentifully and bountifully in the coming year.

Another thing to be heeded in the new year is never say die when someone tells you something can't be done, anything is worth a try.

A classical example are these ultra tropical flowers from FNQ which I was told could never survive outside of their natural habitat. I have them planted in my back yard and they flower every year at Christmas ....surprised they are so easy to grow in Melbourne. To clarify for overseas readers, this species only grows in one very isolated location in Far North Queensland, Australia.

Look forward to having further conversations in 2018!
