Hey guys I hope Julie is ok at Roleystone in WA, seems like another bushfire through that region today. Let us know the situation Julie when you get a chance. Phil.

I too am concerned about Julie. Recently she kindly sent me some seeds from her seville orange tree (which are now sprouting). I hope that her trees, her home and she and her family are safe.

The local radio is saying evacuees should be allowed back in in about 5 hours. Hopefully Julie was on the safe fringe of the evacuated zone

Hi all, and thanks so much for your concern. I had to evacuate on Sunday, and was finally allowed home this afternoon.

No damage, just a lot of very thirsty pot plants. Hallelujah!

Yea, I really feel I know a few people on this forum, even though I've never met anyone. Better than Facebook (not that I'm involved with that).

I hope anyone else in a fire zone is OK and has the good luck I've had.

sg, I'm sorry to say it didn't! Even in a shady spot, three days without water was just too much. It has been very hot here for quite a while now.

Never mind - I had a house to come back to, which is far more important. Events like this put things into perspective.

Very good news. I feel sorry for the people who were not so lucky. From the pictures on the telly taken from above it looked like some lovely homes went up in flames. Such a terrible waste. Hopefully one day they will develop water bombs with widespread snuffing power. Seed germination count is five at the moment Julie.

That's sweet of you sg! I wonder if it would grow from seed?

Please allow me to pay postage this time if you do decide to send another one. I feel awful that it didn't survive, but can't really take the blame!
