Can anyone help me .... I've heard that there is a fruit tree called a Mundu which produces a fruit which can be used in a similar way to a cooking apple. Does any one know of this, or can suggest a tree that will grow in the sub tropics producing a sharp tasting apple type fruit?

G'day Cara, have you thought about something like a Yacon? They're crisp like an apple and in their way taste quite the same.
Cheers, Mike.
