2. Mango Tip Borers
Damage: Shoots wilt and terminal parts die. Affected panicles break and flowers shed off.
Control: Prune dead branches to discourage pests boring into the tree canopy. Pruning and burning parts prevent its spread.

Corrie I think that is what I have in my mango tree too, I thought it was possum but just went down and took a closer look, there are tiny round holes in the part where the bark has come off and the branch dies and leaves go brown and I can just break that branch off, does this sound like what is happening to your tree?
