Barbados Pride
Caesalpinia pulcherrima
Evergreen shrub with fern-like leaves and brightly coloured flowers.
Features: Flowers red with yellow margins turning deep red. Stamens are long and bright red. Shrub often prickly.
Conditions: Suited to fertile, moist, well drained soils in full sun. Frost sensitive.
For Best Results: Mulch the area to suppress weed growth and conserve soil moisture.
