Tamarind Native - Diplogottis cunninghamii

TAMARIND NATIVE, Diplogottis cunninghamii

From the same family as exotics such as the rambutan and lychee, this fruit has a pleasant tart-apricot taste. The yellow-brown hairy capsules split open to reveal the orange pulp. A great addition to jams, jellies, ice cream and yoghurt or as a refreshing drink.
