Ellen says... Over the summer, I've went to FlowerPower, got myself a blueberry, it didn't say what variety it was, but it was 4x the normal size of the one that come from Bunnings, of course the price is alot more too. However it already started flowering/fruiting . The fruit is big, which was nice. Then I came to Daleys', found they had so much varieties available, got myself a couple from here too . I was very pleased with them as well. Pricing was very reasonable, just the S&H a bit high, but the quality of the plant was worth it. Then I heard folks discussing about Nellie Kelly, went and got it from my local Bunnings. Now I have quite a few variety, each are fruiting at different time from the other. When I bought 3 Misty plants from Daleys , when they shipped it to me, it was starting to fruiting. I've ate that lot, not it is starting to flowering again for fruiting. (So it's twice a year fruiting this variety . And I put them in pots those big pots 500mm - 600mm, Because over the summer when the heat is 39-40+ I can move the pot into the shade, so the young shoots/branches does get shrivel up and die in the heat. I am right here in Sydney as well. | About the Author Ellen Smithfield 15th March 2009 5:00am #UserID: 1339 Posts: 309 View All Ellen's Edible Fruit Trees |
