Gus starts with ...
Has anyone had much luck growing these from seed?
I have tried to grow these from about thirty different seed and can't get a hit?
I just want one as a root stock for eggplant but haveing no luck.

I have a couple of seedlings of S. chrysotrichum if that's any help, but you're in WA if I remember rightly. Might be difficult to get them to you. I think they are from the last batch of seed I sent. They seem to need high humidity to germinate

haven't heard of that one before Phil. Thank you kindly for your offer but you might be right about the postage. Are they the same as torvum?
Have had no luck getting torvum to grow either.
I suspect that I may need a more "mediterranean" rootstock species for Perth
