Lee starts with ...
I want to plant many fruit trees but I have only 2-3" of loam above 12+ ' of sand. Will I be wasting money buying the trees?

I'm assuming NH = New Hampshire, which would follow that with freezing winters, your climate more than anything else will determine what you can grow.
