Hi Barbisboss, try some mango and avocado trees for a start. Brazilian cherries are a bit of a pest here where I live, the birds sow them everywhere. All the citrus trees will grow real well too. The secret is mulch.

Hi Brendan - which brazilian cherry r u having weediness problems with? I have grummi's, pitanga and acerola.. I doubt that they would have a chance of self seeding in my dry climate - but forewarned is forearmed :)

Hi Amanda, don't really know the type of Brazilian Cherry I have. It grows to ~ 4 to 5 metres tall, and usually has multiple trunks. The fruit is not real exciting. I don't really worry about the spread of these 'feral' trees, because the Wompoo Fruit Dove(s) comes to our water dish. Absolutely beautiful! They are responsible for spreading the Brazilian cherries, I'd say.
