Let it dry on a windowsill for a few days. Then carefully use scissors to cut around the edge of the seed and remove the inside kernel. Plant it on its side, not flat, to reduce the chance of rotting, in good quality seed raising or potting mix. Depending on the variety, you could get a single seedling which will be different to the parent plant, or several seedlings from one seed which will be all clones and identical to the parent, except for the strongest looking one which is usually different from the parent. Traditionally the smaller, weaker looking shoots make the best mangoes. Remove all except the one you have selected by snipping off the rest at ground level and allow the single shoot to develop until ready to plant out.

Hi, roblw80. Phil is right. I did exactly just that and I now have 3 little seedlings (1 an elongated "S" shape mango, and the other two are the R2E2 variety). Unfortunately, though, I cut the weaker looking shoots and kept the stronger ones! Guess, I'll have to wait many years down the road to find out if I ever get good quality mangoes (?).
